Staying in shape is a subtle but major issue for many. One of the major physical body possessions that is of great value especially for women generally is their body shapes.

So many women spend fortune just to have or maintain their shape. Many are constantly in gym or on one form of diet or another either to burn body fat, build healthy muscles or maintain their current shape.

Really, no woman wants to be addressed or seen as shapeless.

Shape is a great asset!

But do you know that, beyond your physical shape, you have another shape! This other shape is far more valuable and priceless than the physical shape.

I am not downplaying the place of our body shape and the need to be in shape but if that's all you have , you are still 'shapeless' in the real sense of it.

The real shape you need to shape your life, your marriage, career, business, ministry and future is what I want to talk about.

Your real SHAPE is your:

S- SPIRITUALITY: When your relationship with God transcends religion, you can turn your world around for good.

H- HEART: If your heart is full of love, great thoughts, ideas and visions you can shape your own life and lives around you.

A- ABILITIES: You are loaded, more than you can ever imagine. Unleash your potential to be a blessing to yourself and to your world.

P- PERSONALITY: Please be reminded that you are unique in your personality. Your character, your temperament, your world view. Whatever you do, please don't deprive us of your uniqueness, use it to change your world.

E-EXPERIENCE: None of your life experiences is a waste! Everything you have gone through plus the one you are currently going through; be it positive or negative, they shape you and you can use them to give shape to your world.

So, are you in S.H.A.P.E?

There’s nothing unstoppable like an idea, at its right time.

Have you ever met a brick wall trying to sell an idea you feel so passionate about and nobody shares your passion, talk less of buying the idea? It can be frustrating and discouraging at the same time.

Someone once said ‘ideas’ are like children and everyone feel protective of theirs.

If you have been in this situation either at work, at home or in any type of partnership, you will agree with me that sometimes it could get really personal and depending on how much thought and investment had gone into the process it could spiral south very quickly.

I have however come to learn that when the right time for an idea comes, it takes flight on its own. It becomes unstoppable.

So here are three things I believe you can do if you have a God-given idea that seem to be unpopular or unaccepted now:

1. Document it – No matter how sharp you believe your memory is, it is wise to document your ideas, or you stand the risk of losing the idea all together or missing out on vital parts. Also, sometimes an opportunity may come up to present the idea when you least expect. Only a well-documented idea can be articulately presented in such situation. You don’t want to be ill-prepared in the face of an opportunity of a lifetime!

2. ‘Marinate’ it – Although this term is commonly used in food processing, it seems to be the best to drive home the point. Immerse your idea in further research and prayer if you are a person of faith. When you review a documented idea over and over, you gain clarity and new perspective every time. It gets clearer and fine-tuned. Other ideas come up that naturally align with it and it begins to evolve.

3. Act on it – Take baby steps. Most investors wait to see how committed you are to your own idea before they commit to it. I have come to know that when we make the move, divine providence ensures that provision and all that is required is supplied. Nothing moves until you move.

Many ask for God's blessings but sometimes unconsciously expect these blessings in monetary or tangible terms. Ideas are God's way of blessing us. It's our choice to do our part to take it to the next level.

Now that all the emotions of transiting into a New Year, the resolutions, and the sudden burst of hope that the New Year brings is beginning to give way into the reality of the work required and the journey ahead.

Do take a moment to reflect...

Are you living the life you want or paying for a life you really don’t want?

Are you merely following the band wagon of a baseless ‘new year, new me’ slogan?

Can your life be more meaningful, fulfilling and beneficial to others?

Could there be a better version of you?

If so, what are you going to do about it?

Are you already on the path to the life you want? Great! Do not let your fire go out.

Find a community where ‘iron can constantly sharpen iron’.

Real change don’t come cheap. It takes a new level of awareness, decision making, commitment, consistency and support.

The landscape has shifted and there's a good chance that your priorities have also changed; the goals you set years ago may feel small or even pointless. You may no longer derive the required inspiration and enthusiasm from them.

Listen, It's OK to let them go!

What Next?

Look around you, take a look at your journey in the last two years, look ahead- see possibilities, look inwards- You’ve got what it takes. What are you willing to fight for now? What really matters to you now?

You owe it to yourself to be the best version of yourself.

Remember the essence of your life is bigger that you. You will be amazed at how many lives depend on the emergence of a new you!

When you shine your light, you indirectly give others the permission to shine theirs too.

It's a new dawn!
