Your Focus Is Your Reality: Choose It Wisely

Have you noticed that the moment you start thinking about something, or decide you want it, your attention starts being drawn to it?
What you focus on expands, positive or negative.
Naturally, we’re drawn to what isn’t working.
We compare ourselves to others and quickly spot where we fall short.
Then a celebration post pops up on social media, jolting us back to “reality” while we’re already trying to rise out of our own funk.
We tell ourselves nothing is working, and we dig deeper into self-sabotage.
Today, I challenge you to be intentional about your focus.
Ask yourself:
What is working?
Stay there for a moment.
Sit with it. Be grateful for it.
Things could have been worse.
If it’s hard to make the switch, grab a journal.
Write down at least three good things that happen to you every day for one week.
You will be amazed at how this simple exercise shifts your perspective on your current state.
You are doing way better than you give yourself credit for.
If no one has told you this recently, let it be me:
YOU ARE DOING GREAT!
Sometimes, the breakthrough you need isn’t a change in your circumstances, it’s a change in what you’re paying attention to.
Your focus shapes your thoughts.
Your thoughts shape your perspective.
Your perspective shapes your actions.
And over time, those actions shape your life.
Choose your focus wisely.
Reflection
What is one thing that is going well in your life right now that you’ve overlooked because you’ve been focused on what’s missing?
