What If “Having It All” Just Means Having What’s Yours?

I grew up hearing, “You can’t have it all.

I used to believe that. So I stopped reaching.

I picked one thing and abandoned the others.

Told myself it was wise.

Called it contentment.

But I was wrong about the whole thing.

The problem wasn’t the dream.

The problem was how I defined “it all.”

Here’s the reframe that broke me open:

“IT” is your unique purpose — the specific thing you were designed to contribute to the world.

“ALL” is everything you need to accomplish that purpose — and divine provision ensures it’s already available to you.

Your “it” is not the same as mine.

Your “all” won’t look like anyone else’s either.

A woman whose “it” is to raise emotionally intelligent children needs a completely different “all” than a woman whose “it” is to build a billion-dollar company.

Neither is lesser. Neither is greater.

They are simply different. And that difference matters.

Because comparison becomes impossible when purpose is clear.

So the question isn’t:

“Can I have it all?”

The question is:

Have you defined what “it” means for YOU?

Because you can absolutely have it all, once you stop living by someone else’s definition.

What is YOUR “it”?

Take time to ponder over this.

Write it out clearly.

And watch how divine providence ensures that “all” you need gravitates towards you.
